Micro-blogging sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik-Tok are oxygen for GenX. Even if people wish to take a break, they cannot find ways to refrain from it for at least a while.

Choose a date and time:

Identify a certain day and time from which you will not log into any of your social media accounts. This will help you stick to the schedule and your mind will be guided accordingly. Also decide how many days and hours you want to take a break.

Log out of social media accounts:

Whether it’s your laptop, tablet or phone; disconnect all your social media accounts from all devices. It will resist you to cheat. Sometimes people disconnect from their phone, but they like to surf their favorite sites on their laptop. Spare yourself the prey of this guilty pleasure.

Tell your family:

When you decide to take a break, let your family and friends know. They will keep a check on you and you will be caught and called back by them if found guilty!

Don’t stop taking pictures:

Even during your break, collect memories in the form of pictures, but the deal is not to post them online. The idea is to reiterate that we should live life for ourselves and not for social media.
