Elon Musk hints at building a new social media platform: The Tribune India
San Francisco, March 27
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has hinted that he may soon come up with the idea of creating a new social media platform.
While responding to a user named Pranay Pothole on Twitter, who asked if Musk would consider creating a new social media platform, Musk said he was considering it.
“I’m seriously considering it,” Musk wrote on the microblogging site.
In another Twitter poll, Musk asked “Do you think Twitter strictly adheres to this principle?” and at least “70%” of respondents answered “no”.
“Given that Twitter serves as the de facto town square, failure to adhere to the principles of free speech fundamentally undermines democracy. What should be done?” Musk wrote in a response to the poll result.
He also asked users “is a new platform needed?” This month, a study said the Tesla CEO could become the first person to amass $1 trillion in net worth, and it could happen as early as 2024.
