Hit it Toronto Comicon

If you and your S/O are big comic book or pop culture fans, stop by the Toronto Comicon!

From panels with actors from your favorite TV shows to fan art shopping by artists, there’s plenty to see and do at Comicon.

If you really want to go for it, wear matching couple costumes!

Comicon takes place every March at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Take a walk in Kensington Market

Kensington Market is one of Toronto’s cutest neighborhoods, and it’s the perfect place for a little date of exploration.

There are lots of fun things to do at Kensington Market, including coffee hopping and vintage shopping!

They also have Pedestrian Sundays from May 31 to October 25, where the entire neighborhood is fully pedestrian-friendly and vehicle-free.

Want to take a little guided tour with your date? look at this Canadian Food Tour at Kensington Marketwhere you can learn exactly what “Canadian food” is while sampling bites from 7 local stores.

Or watch this 2-hour walking tour of Kensington Market and Chinatownwhere you can discover the history of the two districts!

OCAD GradEx exhibition in Toronto

See the art at OCAD GradeEx

Want to see cool works of art made by art students?

OCAD University holds an annual GradEx exhibition showcasing the works of their graduates, and it’s always awesome.

I’ve been to GradEx a few times, and it’s always so cool to see how creative OCAD students are!

Bring your date and stroll through OCAD hand in hand while admiring all the artwork.

See you from May 11 to 15 this year!

LOCATION: 100 McCaul Street, Toronto, ON

Cherry blossoms in High Park in Toronto

Walk under the cherry blossoms in High Park

What could be more romantic than walking through High Park hand in hand as the cherry blossoms flutter around you?

Also known as sakura, cherry blossoms are a delicate flower that usually bloom in late April, and they only bloom for about a week or two.

There is actually an entire site dedicated to cherry blossom updates in High Park called Sakura in High Park!

Stroll under cherry blossoms and snap some pretty spring photos, then head to iHalo Krunch to sample some of Toronto’s best ice cream.

It’s usually crowded during peak bloom, so it’s best to visit on weekdays and early in the morning!

LOCATION: 1873 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON

Spring flowers at the Toronto Music Garden on the waterfront

Have a picnic at Toronto Musical Garden

The Toronto Music Garden is a lovely park along the waterfront that is absolutely stunning in spring and summer.

If it’s warm enough, you can have a nice little picnic here – just bring a blanket and some snacks, or grab some takeaway from one of the best restaurants on Harbourfront!

Some of the flowers bloom very quickly (like in my photo above), so catch them as early as possible for those spring Instagram shots.

They also hold outdoor concerts here during the summer months, which is also the perfect time to have a picnic!

Lavelle Rooftop Bar in Toronto, Ontario

Sip cocktails on a rooftop terrace

The nicer it is here in Toronto, the sooner we can visit all the outdoor terraces.

And the rooftop terraces are quite romantic, if you ask me!

You can get a great view of the Toronto skyline (maybe even the CN Tower) while sipping delicious cocktails, beer, or wine.

There are plenty of impressive rooftop patios across Toronto that are perfect for a date, including The Broadview Hotel (a little more low-key) and Lavelle (a little more glamorous).

Watch Cirque du Soleil’s KURIOS show

Adam and I watched a Cirque du Soleil show a few years ago, and we absolutely loved it.

“KURIOS” is about an ambitious inventor who defies the laws of time and space to reinvent everything around him.

You can check it out at Ontario Place from April to July!
